Vin Diesel was yakking with the people over at Gamespot and mentioned that a third Riddick film was being worked on. He then said that the interviewer’s sighs were very unprofessional and threatened him by saying that David Twohy is finishing up the script right now.
I’m not saying that THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK was bad…I’m just saying it was bad. The character of Riddick is cool, but everything built around him in that movie was lame. Honestly though, I don’t remember it very well. I only watched it once, a year or so ago and I zoned out pretty quickly. I do remember a WWE match on the moon or wherever and some gassy chick. I also recall that it had some of the most unoriginal sci-fi names ever put on film; there were gems like Furyan (a race of angry aliens, represented by Riddick), Necromonger (a race of movie villains) and Helion Prime (the planet where the villains hang out).
I think the main problem with RIDDICK was that it took a cool character from a small, sci-fi/horror movie and stuck him in LORD OF THE RINGS. Also, the main villain was lame.

I was told the armor would shrink in the wash.
Would you be afraid of that? I hope not. He looks like a five year old in his dads L.A.R.P.ing outfit. So, in conclusion, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK: ASSAULT ON DARK ATHENA…prepare.
