With Loki already getting his comeuppance in both THOR and THE AVENGERS it just wouldn’t be democratic to whoop only his rear in THOR 2. That’s why, according to Variety, Mads Mikkelsen is in talks to join the movie as an as-yet-unnamed villain. That doesn’t mean we won’t see Tom Hiddleston’s Loki though; so fear not those Loki-Legionnaires out there.
If you love rumors as much as a fifty year-old woman, than you’ll be interested in hearing that the latest rumblings surrounding this movie say that there will be two villains this time around. The main villain will be the Enchantress and the second (and presumably the one that Mr. Mikkelsen will be playing) is the Executioner.
Doubling the villain count is pretty par-for-the-super-hero-course, so this wouldn’t surprise me at all. I know next-to-nothing about the Enchantress and the Executioner so I’ll leave grumbling or hooraying to those more informed.
