These Missions Can’t Be That Impossible.

According to this scan from an upcoming T.V. Guide, J.J. Abrams was asked by Tom Cruise to produce the next MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE and the two of them are working on an idea for the movie; perhaps with their hands in each other’s back pockets. If you recall, Abrams was the director for MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3, which was pretty good. He also recently directed the STAR TREK remake that I still haven’t had a chance to see, but I hear it’s good in a very STAR WARSy way.

I’m actually just going to come out and apologize for this news. It’s news that isn’t really news. It’s basically some guy saying he talked to Tom Cruise about an idea he had for a new movie about a guy who is on a difficult mission. Slow news days really stink.
