The wait for the full-length RED DAWN trailer has come to an end! Yeah, I know; I wasn’t really waiting either, but just humor me here. I’ve got word counts I have to fill even though I don’t have to fill them. What am I going on about? Trailer!
To tell you the truth, this seemed a little too big. A concept like RED DAWN only really works if the main characters are trying desperately to avoid big, open conflicts with the bad guys because they’ll lose. Maybe it’s just the way the trailer is cut, but it seems like all these kids are doing is getting into open gun fights with the “Chieans” and hiding from flipping cars like they’re John McClane.
I think this would have been better if it felt more contained; like DIE HARD in a small town, if-you-will. But what do I know, I’m just the foremost expert on everything!
