Flavor of the month Jackie Earle Haley, who was lucky enough to play the only interesting character in WATCHMEN, has signed on to play Freddy Krueger in the remake of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. This is thanks to Variety.
It’s been forever since I saw ELM STREET, but I remember it scared me when I was ten; then again, almost everything did so I’m not a good litmus test. Haley will probably do fine underneath the symmetrical burn make-up which is cool, I guess. Can’t muster up much more enthusiasm than that I’m afraid. If you care though, that’s awesome!
