As you know, Peter Jackson has been kicking around the idea of making three movies based on THE HOBBIT instead of the already planned two. His reasoning is that there is more story to tell and more money to be squeezed from sweaty nerd hands.
Now the third film has been confirmed via Jackson’s Facebook page. This final decision really isn’t shocking at all considering the oodles of cash that another HOBBIT is sure to rake in.
Eh; feels like a cash-grab to me, but I won’t really be able to tell for sure until we see how the movies are broken up. I read THE HOBBIT a while back and I’m pretty sure that story could be fully told in two movies.
