The other day the director of the new GODZILLA movie, Gareth Edwards, had a chat with someone over at Coventry Telegraph about Godzilla and his feelings regarding giant lizard monsters. He was for them.
They also asked him about what we can expect from his version of GODZILLA and what will set it apart from the other movies featuring Godzilla. This was his reply:
I’ve always been interested in Godzilla and the ideas around him. I really wanted to see another Godzilla film and jumped at the opportunity. My main idea was to imagine ‘If this really happened, what would it be like?’ I want to take a grounded, realistic approach to a Godzilla film.
Yeah, so his response was the same response that every other director is giving now-a-days when they are asked about their upcoming movie based on a popular franchise. Good for him.
