Everyone knows that when a calamite is about to befall a major metropolitan city your best hope of thwarting said calamite is random people off the street. Following in this obvious logic is the upcoming movie BASTILLE DAY, which will be directed by Pierre Morel, the dude who directed the Liam Neeson puncher TAKEN, so says Heat Vision. It was written by Andrew Baldwin.
BATILLE DAY takes place in Paris…duh. It follows the adventures of an American artist and a washed-up CIA agent who are tasked with stopping something bad from happening to the Eiffel tower or whatever. They will also probably yell at each other in the beginning but eventually come to a level of mutual respect by the end.
Boy, I don’t know, this seems like it could be a little to “high concept” for me. I’m not sure I could keep up with its many twists and turns. I know, I know, I’m being a douche. Sorry BASTILLE DAY, I’m sure you’re going to be delightful.
