A long time ago, there was a western on T.V. called GUNSMOKE about an extremely tall and unattractive Marshal named Matt Dillon who would often leave the town of Dodge City in the hands of this man:

Who are you to judge?
Well, for those of you who never had the opportunity to partake in the fine wine that is GUNSMOKE, fear not! According to The Risky Business Blog, a movie treatment is currently being written by Gregory Poirier. As with every movie currently being filmed, this will be a prequel to the series, showing us how all the character were born, dropped out of old-west high school and moved to Dodge City after their low-paying factory job was outsourced overseas.
It will also have a more updated look and feature modern action stuff like “shaky cam” and lens flares.
I have to say that I actually like GUNSMOKE a lot. I have many fond memories of watching the show with my Dad before heading off to work. Marshal Dillon was quite the badass, in fact, his ass was too bad. Most of the time, the writers had to come up with new reasons for Dillon to leave town so that the lesser characters would have some drama to struggle against. If Dillon was there, he would just solve every problem in the span of fifteen minutes and the rest of the show would be everyone just hanging around in the saloon playing cards and drinking whiskey (old west drink; also used for cleaning wounds). We’ll just have to wait and see what these new guys come up with.
