If you are a man and alive, then you are greatly anticipating the release of THE EXPENDABLES 2 and all the sweat that goes along with it. But what will I do once THE EXPENDABLES 2 has landed and I’m left wholly satisfied? Get ready for THE EXPENDABLES 3, that’s what!
There has been talk of a third installment since Randy Couture mentioned it a while back, but now we’re getting some meat to put on that bone thanks to a conversation that Total Film had with producer Avi Lerner. From what he said they are looking to assemble a cast that, if they are successful, will surely mean the end of the world as we know it. Here’s an excerpt:
“We’ve approached Clint Eastwood to be one of the guys, we’ve got a character in mind for him. We’re talking to Harrison Ford. [And we want] Wesley Snipes when he comes back from prison. I’ll give you one more name, we’ve got Nicolas Cage to play [one of the characters].”
“And we’re going to bring Mickey Rourke back, if he won’t be too crazy. I like Mickey. And of course, all the existing stars [will return]”
CLINT “FRIGGIN” EASTWOOD! I honestly don’t think they’ll be able to get him or Mr. Ford, but, holy crap, if they did?! IF THEY DID?! I…I have to stop thinking about it…my brain…it can’t comprehend it.
I’m also super stoked that they could get Wesley Snipes as I think he absolutely belongs in these movies. Nic Cage though? I could live with Cage pushing his way into these movies as a villain or something, but he definitely doesn’t deserve to be an Expendable.
