Because the studio new that releasing just one poster wouldn’t be enough to satiate the public’s lust for all things INCEPTION, they decided to also release a trailer (it’s a veritable INCEPTION typhoon). The trailer is below.
Now, when it comes to smarts I’d say I’m about a 100 watt, but even I’m not 100% sure what this movie is about. I’m pretty sure that it will follow the basic “attractive girl has some kind of super-power/secret which a handsome thief wants to exploit until he starts to care about her and must then protect her from someone else who wants to exploit her, only in an evil way” theme, but it’s the specifics that I’m uncertain about. I did notice that they reused the armored car that trashes through the streets scene from THE DARK KNIGHT but with a train this time…which is cool.
The thing I’m most curious about is at about the 27 second mark there is some kind of riot going on with fire and what-not, but if you look closely you also see someone throw an orange soccer ball. What kind of Nancy-boy riot is this? And whoever threw it didn’t even hit anything. Someone really needs to take that guy aside and explain to him the finer points of rioting and what everyone else’s expectations of their fellow rioters is.
