While at the San Diego Comic Convention, Marvel decided to debut a logo for each of their upcoming movies. Besides some full titles, there aren’t many surprises here except when you get to the bottom.

If you listened to the most recent podcast, I wasn’t sure what was going on with the ANT-MAN movie. It had been rumored to be in the works for ages, but it just never seemed to gain any traction and then when GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY was announced I thought ANT-MAN had been given the kibosh. Well it looks like I was wrong for the first time ever…so much for my streak.
But yeah, Ant-Man has one of the lamest powers known to ant or man, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be in a good movie. I like the idea of an adventure-type film taking place in a very small land with Ant-Man playing an Indian Jones like hero. If it’s just a straight-up super-hero movie with shrinking…God help us all.
A new piece of concept art for GUARDIANS also popped online the other day and it features Groot, Drax, Rocket Racoon, Gamorra and Star Lord. Those are all character names by the way; I didn’t fall asleep on my keyboard.
Galactic guns ablazing.
With a line-up like that, Marvel is definitely willing to try some weird and/or fun stuff. I have high hopes for this movie!
