Here’s some good news for the people that are financing KICK-ASS 2. Deadline is reporting that Jim Carrey, of talking-out-of-his-rear fame, has signed on to play the role of Colonel Stars. From what I’ve been able to learn, Colonel Stars is the leader of a super-group called Justice Forever, though I have no idea if this is a big part or not.
This has got to be a coup for this movie even though Jim really hasn’t made a memorable film for years; he’s still a big name that will garner some attention and money. It’s actually kind of sad that when I think of Jim Carrey I still remember him as Ace Ventura…oh well.
