The other day, Chuck Norris was having a conversation with some Polish website called Gazeta and during the interview he said the following (translation courtesy of Expendables Premeire:
In Expendables 2, there was a lot of vulgar dialogue in the screenplay. For this reason, many young people wouldn’t be able to watch this. But I don’t play in movies like this. Due to that I said I won’t be a part of that if the hardcore language is not erased. Producers accepted my conditions and the movie will be classified in the category of PG-13.
I know what you’re saying, “this can’t be right! Chuck Norris is either blowing smoke or this place got the translation wrong! It’s got to be! A PG-13 THE EXPENDABLES 2?! Think of the children!”
Well, I’m sorry, but Ain’t It Cool has gotten confirmation from Sylvester Stallone himself that this is in fact, true. My heart!
If this change was done specifically to appease The Norris, then I say they should have left him out! There’s no way that Norris is worth the loss of this movie’s balls, and a pox on Stallone for allowing it to happen! I thought he was on my side! I guess the movie could still be entertaining, but you just know it isn’t going to have the edge that it should. I don’t know, I think I’m going to need some time…
