I don’t know if you remember that Ed Zwick was supposed to direct a movie called THE GREAT WALL, but it’s cool if you don’t because he’s not. At least, not anymore. Deadline is reporting that Mr. Zwick has left the production because of reasons. Filming has been delayed a lot because of weather and stuff, so that might have something to do with it, but it doesn’t really matter. He’s gone, and there’s nothing we can do to bring him back!
THE GREAT WALL was a real thinking-man’s movie about some British explorers who stumble upon the building of the Great Wall of China. They soon learn that it is being built to keep out some type of monster-things that bring the pain and possibly the funk.
You know, I can’t say I really care about this movie all that much. Could it be good; I guess, but I kind of doubt it. It also seems like one of those movies where the director probably wouldn’t add or subtract that much from what’s going to be presented, so…sorry Zwick.
