The original version of this movie that was released in China was actually two separate movies. For the States however, they decided to edit the two movies into one movie…which always means better quality.
The trailer looks pretty good, at least when people are fighting it does. Basically all of the CG effects look really obvious, from the marching troops to the dove with the huge eyes that made me laugh. Has John Woo ever not put a dove in one of his movies? It’s like he can’t think of any other way to tell you who his hero is without smacking you over the head with a purity symbol. Maybe he should have his hero just turn to the camera and say “hello audience, I am the good-guy of this film you are watching, please enjoy my escapades and don’t forget to visit the concession stand.”
