Back To The Alien Board.

I’m not much of a box-office watcher, but apparently PROMETHEUS made enough bank to warrant a sequel or so says The Hollywood Reporter. Apparently Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender will both be returning along with director Ridley Scott. Co-writer Damon Lindelof will not be coming back because of scheduling conflicts.

If you don’t want any spoilers then you should not read what I’m about to write. Cool. From what I’ve been hearing, PROMETHEUS 2:ENGINEER HARDER will follow the continuing adventures of Noomi Rapace and the decapitated head of robot Fassbender. On their travels they will arrive on the home world of the Engineers only to find that it’s a dump. I’m assuming the rest of the movie will be one giant, global-sized cleaning-up-montage.

I liked PROMETHEUS, but I wasn’t really all that interested in a sequel. Sure, the ending was open-ended, but it was the business end…if you get my drift.  There wasn’t a single character left standing that I cared about enough to spend another fifteen bucks watching them escape from giant albinos.
