Hello there, internet. How you been? Geez; that’s too bad, but hey, maybe this will cheer you up. According to Yahoo, Disney has decided that they love money, so they are officially going to make an AVENGERS 2. Right now the movie has no release date, but it would make sense for it to hit sometime after IRON MAN 3 in 2013, THOR 2 also in 2013, and CAPTAIN AMERICA 2 in 2014. There’s also no word on whether Joss Whedon will be back to direct or write or either.
This is some of the most expected news that has ever been newsed. So far THE AVENGERS has made over $700 million worldwide, chump change to you and me, but apparently that’s a big deal to Marvel.
In an interview that Joss Whedon did with Collider, he was asked about the possibility of a sequel and he said “You know what, I haven’t really thought about it. It’s time for me to rest, and then see if that’s even feasible.” I’m no expert on Hollywood Speak, but I think that means “I want more money” in English. We’ll see I guess.
