Some dude named Mike McCoy has been named as the director of the upcoming movie LINE OF SIGHT, so sayeth Heat Vision.
If you’re like me, then you haven’t heard of this movie or this director before, so allow me to lay some education on you. Mike McCoy was one of two guys who directed ACT OF VALOR, which was that movie that starred real-life Navy SEALs and real-life non-actors. It made some bank compared to its budget and that kind of stuff always impresses Hollywood types.
Now as for LINE OF SIGHT, it’s about an elite commando squad who has to transport a thing while also dealing with a global threat of something or other. It will also be filmed like it’s a first-person shooter game which is just…awful.
I never saw ACT OF VALOR, so I don’t know how this guy directs, but I do know that the “first-person shooter” thing is just a terrible idea. No; not just terrible, REALLY terrible. How can movie creators be this dumb?
